Do you think God has any problem taking care of all your needs? If you have any doubts, I am sure you will change your mind when you stop to consider the following.

Exodus 14:13 & 14 "And Moses said unto the people, Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will show to you to day... The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace."

Have you ever thought about God's provision for the Children of Israel in wilderness Exodus 12:31 through Joshua, when the Israelites finally settled in the Promised Land?

Let's begin with the initial Exodus. It is midnight on the first Passover. The Israelites have completed doing what God commanded, killing the unblemished lamb, and painting the blood on the two side posts and upper doorpost of their houses. They have eaten the Passover as directed in Exodus 12:1-10. They are all ready to leave Egypt. Moses had told them: this was the night.

Midnight struck. The Egyptians, and anyone who had not followed God's instructions, were in a panic. The death angel had come, and the firstborn of all the land were destroyed, even the firstborn of the cattle, sheep, goats, chickens, and any other living creature in the land of Egypt. The message from God had finally broken through to Pharaoh. He willingly expelled Moses and Aaron and all the Israelites from the land. Pharaoh called Moses and screamed at him to leave Egypt immediately, with all their flocks, their herds, and the people. Many Egyptians left with them.

It is an overwhelming thought, when you think of the multitudes who left Egypt on that night. And they left in a hurry. They didn't want Pharaoh to have a change of heart, and go after them. He had already changed his mind on a number of other occasions. Of course, we know that is exactly what happened. He did change his mind. But that is not on this particular topic. Let's stop to consider the crowd who left.

They had to get across the Red Sea in one night. Were they to have traveled on a narrow path, two-abreast, the line would have been 800 miles long, and would have taken 35 days and nights to get through. But had they taken that long, Pharaoh's army would have had no trouble in catching up with them. So in order for them to get over in one night, the path in the Sea would have to be three miles wide, and the people would have to travel 5000 abreast. And of course, we are not even considering the miracle of the Sea parting, making passage possible. Now, don't these facts boggle your mind? They do mine.

Now they are on the other side of the Red Sea. Think about the provision that it would take to care for this multitude. To begin with, whenever they would set up camp, they would require a campground of 750 square miles.... And then there was the food to provide. And remember, they were in the desert (wilderness). Have you stopped to consider what this would entail?

For the number of people there were, it would have taken 1500 tons of food each day to feed them. That would take two freight trains, each one-mile long. Besides that, were they to cook their food, it would take 40,000 tons of wood, requiring more freight trains to transport it. And remember, they were in the desert. Where is there wood in a desert? Now, have you got the picture? This is for just ONE day! The Israelites were in the desert for 40 YEARS.... And then, what about water? To provide water (in the desert) for that many people, just to drink and wash, and clean up dishes--if they used any--not to mention the water it would take to wash themselves and their clothes, it would take 11,000,000 gallons of water, requiring the equivalent of a freight train with tank cars1, 800 miles long. JUST FOR WATER. For ONE day! Now, doesn't that boggle your mind?

Now let's consider this. Do you think that Moses called together a board of people to sit down and figure out all these things before he left Egypt? Do you think he planned ahead so that he would be sure that he wouldn't run out of supplies to care for all these people? Do you think he phoned ahead for Motel/Hotel reservations? Of course not! What did he do? HE TRUSTED GOD. He left all those things to Him. He had to. The task was too big for him to handle. Now, doesn't that boggle your mind? It does mine.

So don't you think, if God could handle the task of leading the Israelites out of Egypt, and provide all that was needed for them for forty years, that He has any problems taking care of you and all your needs?

Psalm 121:5-7- Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand. The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul. The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore."

For the Children of Israel God daily supplied.
It was their only choice: but on God to rely.
For forty long years, through the wilderness trail,
He guided and fed them. Not once did He fail.

So on life's pathway, let God lead the way.
He is your keeper. He'll not let you stray.
Before even you ask, God knows what you need.
Leave your worries with Him. God's promises, heed.

Fear not, nor be dismayed: for the Lord God...will be with thee; he will not fail they, nor forsake thee... I Chronicles 28:20

Now, doesn't that boggle your mind? It does mine. Do you think God has any problem taking care of all your needs?
