Many years ago, on Easter Monday, I settled down at home to prepare the week’s Biblepraise Newsletter. Since it was a public holiday, I decided to send the newsletter out later in the day so that most readers, who I know read the articles at work, may find the newsletter waiting for them in their email on Tuesday morning.

Just as I was about to power up my laptop, I decided to do a clean up of  the machine, a task I had been putting forward for some time. I took my time to do the cleaning and then pressed the power button. The lights on the keyboard panel showed but nothing else happened. “The battery must be down, I thought, as I pushed in the power cable.

The same thing happened. I became apprehensive. I had used this laptop earlier in the day and it worked perfectly, so what could have been the problem?

I tried all I knew to do but nothing happened. The next day, I took the laptop to the office and looked it over again with my engineer friends. The fault remained unresolved. All this while, I began to pray. Deep down within me, I knew that it was a calculated attempt to depress me and prevent me from doing the will of God through the Biblepraise Ministry.

In the midst of it all, something began to form in the inside of me. It was a confidence that God would bring a solution to this situation somehow. As I prayed, I sought information from the web as to what may have caused this unexplained fault which arose without warning. I was not able to get a suitable information to help me but  I kept confessing that nothing would stop me from continuing this work even if it gets to the point that the laptop could not be fixed.

During the week, I called a friend of mine who gave me the number of a laptop engineer. I called and made an appointment for the following Saturday. I began to pray and ask God for a solution. I also thought about the funds which I would be required to pay, in the event of the fault being diagnosed. I had reasoned that if it was a system board related problem, I would be talking of between $300 - $400,  which I did not have.

Fast track to Saturday. The engineer checked the laptop and discovered that it was the processor that blew. Now here is the real testimony; the engineer happened to have that kind of processor handy as at that time. In fact the speed of the processor he had was even a higher model than mine and when he fixed it into my laptop, it worked perfectly.

Now, the other part of the testimony; God happened to use someone who knew about my plight with the laptop, to raise the funds in time for me to make the payment, just in time for the repairs!

This experience showed me that God is interested in the Biblepraise Ministry. The enemy thought he could set us back and frustrate us but at the end of the day, I am stronger in my determination to reach more and more people with the unique ministry that God has given to us- encouraging one another in the Lord Jesus Christ.

It also reminds me of the verse of  this scripture pertaining to our Lord and Master;  “But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:  Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory”.  (1Co 2:7 - 8)

I believe this applies to the experience I just went through. If the enemy had known that God would use this experience to strengthen my faith and deepen my commitment to this ministry, he would not have booby-trapped that laptop. I do not believe what happened was a coincidence;  it was planned, it was calculated and it was premeditated.

I do not know what you are going through at the moment. Are you facing a crisis? Do you feel you are being frustrated at work, in your marriage or even in church? I have good news for you; God is in the process of working a breakthrough in your life!

The agents of Satan,  who are planning your downfall, will ultimately regret putting you in the situation you are in at the moment, because that situation is about to open up into great blessings and breakthrough for you in Jesus Name.

It is time to rejoice!
